About the Show
Alex Wiederspiel started out in broadcasting in high school, working for the tape delay TV station broadcasting any high school sport he could at Lawrence High School in Lawrenceville, NJ. Alex fell in love with sports broadcasting on the spot, later attending West Virginia University and working for WVU’s award-winning college radio station, U92 the Moose, as a student broadcaster and play-by-play. If you listen to any of his work, you’ll likely hear lots of pop culture references, sports talk, and a love for Bob Dylan.
Alex is in his second stint with WVRC Media. He took a break in 2019 to return to his alma mater to run U92 the Moose as the station’s advisor, finish his undergraduate degree, and earn a Master’s Degree at WVU’s Integrated Marketing & Communication program. He returned to WVRC Media full-time in 2023 as a talk host, play-by-play, jock, news anchor, and social media manager.
